Spring Cleaning Checklist

Spring is finally here! In light of it, we are happy to share a spring cleaning checklist that will help you get clean and organized this year! 

• First things first, consider cleaning out your cleaning supplies! Make sure you have enough for disinfecting, and get rid of the extra bottles you no longer need. Ensuring you have the right equipment and supplies is essential.

 

• Declutter your things! Organizing and decluttering can make all of the difference! Without all the clutter, things will be much easier to clean. Determine when you will need certain items, if they are going to be used frequently, have them in an accessible area. However, if the items aren't going to be used for many months at a time, consider moving them into a self storage unit or another area in your home.

 

• Do you have pets? If so, wash their bedding and blankets! This will eliminate extra dirt and debris in the air! 

 

• Thoroughly clean your fridge! This means getting rid of expired dressings, disinfecting the drawers and organizing the shelves. This will give you so much satisfaction the next time you go grocery shopping and have a clean fridge to put your groceries in!

 

• Wash your shower curtains! Many people forget to clean their shower curtains which is essential if you are cleaning the bathroom! Fabric curtains are usually safe in the washer and dryer, if yours is not, wash and hang to dry.

 

• Clean the walls! All the muck from the winter season surely gets it’s way onto the walls. A pale of water with dish soap will do wonders!

 

• Consider moving some of your things out of your house for different seasons. For example, when it’s spring, you don’t want to feel like it’s almost Christmas, every time you have to go to the basement! Why not put those winter decorations into a smaller, more affordable 5x10  self storage unit?
